Jeff Cooper

Jeff has spent the last 20 years leading high school/middle school students into the wilderness. In 1999 Jeff moved to Southern California where he was introduced to the sports of climbing and canyoneering. Falling in love with the canyons, Jeff began to look for ways to introduce more people to the sport. In 2002 he created a student ministry and adventure program at Spirit Christian Academy in California and later transferred these programs as essential pillars to the school they founded, The University School, Colorado Springs in 2006. In 2009, he established Venture Off to disciple and minister the gospel to students around the country using the wilderness. After being at USCO for 15 years he took Venture Off full-time into its own non-profit with the desire to help other schools, churches, and organizations utilize the wilderness to make disciples. Jeff is married to his beautiful wife, Lessie. Together they have three daughters and live in Colorado Springs.
